The Full Metal Alchemist summons a Ton of Questions from Fans...

"I just hope people believe us...but given enough time, they'll have to right?"

There is no question about it. This is perhaps one of the coolest opportunities I have ever been given the chance to take. In some respects, its a little intimidating (or at least it would be if Vic wasn't such an easy guy to talk to). Okay, let me be a little more clear:

Vic Mignogna has just joined the cast of Redemption the Series as our Lead Villain. Christopher Rosario, the show's Producer/Director, made the statement earlier and it follows as thus:

"We are excited to announce that Vic Mignogna, winner of the American Anime Award for Best Actor in 2007 for his voicing of Edward Elric in Full Metal Alchemist, joins the cast of Redemption the Series! Mr. Mignogna will be voicing the Lead Villain - Derek Lyons Exis III." ï»¿

Vic has been voice acting since 1972 with his first roles in the TV Series Gatchaman or more commonly known in America as G-Force. He has since then gained massive amounts of fans (the most loyal of which have dubbed themselves the Risembool Rangers.) And yes, his most recognized role is the Full Metal Alchemist, Edward Elric. So you can imagine me, a young and ambitious rising actor, both excited and terrified at the same time. First thing I did was listen to my first voice recordings and instantly chastise myself for not performing better.  With a sigh of relief, I relaxed a little when Chris mentioned that we would need to re-record everyone's lines again upon obtaining a budget anyways.

It wasn't long before we were featured on the Risembool Ranger Website with a short blurb that caught a few interested eyes. Should I say interested though? Or skeptical? I wasn't surprised to see this suspicion surrounding Vic Mignogna's actual acceptance of the role. At this stage in our development, hardly anyone knows who we are and for us to claim to have an award winning actor aboard our team wouldn't be far fetched. Unfortunately, there was nothing more we could offer as solid proof. Until now...

On October 13th, a member of our team went down to meet up with Vic Mignogna at the Banzai Con to record a quick interview about joining the series. The video has been live for a while now and is generating steam... albeit slow but at least moving.

With so much in store, the Redemption Team looks forward to the rest of this year and the next with Vic on board. Stay tuned for more updates!
