Passive Lion Community's New Direction - Success or Bust?

"...I'm looking to provide something worthwhile to viewers and subscribers..."

If you're a subscriber to PassiveLionCommunity, you may have already taken notice to a few changes with the channel and the content it is producing. Could this be just a glimpse at the future of the channel and a step in the right direction? I can't answer that. Only you can. Being that the writer of this article is also the owner of said channel, I'm very biased. Therefore viewer input is very important. I can merely outline where I plan to take the channel in the future and hope you're along for the ride.

Its no mystery that I love to act and edit, which is why I'm attempting to bring a bit of that creativity into Passive Lion content. The only real success of my channel is in tutorials but I feel as if I'll pigeon-hole myself if I don't decide to branch out early on. Believe me, as helpful as I seem, it can get pretty stressful answering questions, troubleshooting and figuring out a script before diving into making a cohesive tutorial on it. Don't get me wrong, I will not stop doing what I do best as I founded my channel and company on those principles and I will not let them falter. However, I won't give in to that being all I'm good at.

Just for a moment, try and see YouTube how I see it. One giant critiquing club. Everything you put up is viewed, scrutinized, judged and ultimately passed though the chopping block of the worthy and unworthy. You can become famous for being spectacular, hilarious, like-able,  epic, or even absolutely horrible at what you do. What YouTube doesn't want to see is normal. At least, that is what I can evaluate based on the small studies I've done over the last year or so. And when I say YouTube, I mean you, the viewers.

Forgive me if I break into a small tangent but YouTube has changed their image quite a lot since I joined and even more so from before I even considered possessing a channel. YouTube was made by the viewers, for the viewers and should always strive to be that way. ï»¿

But enough of that. What do I see in store for the future of my channel?  Quality entertainment. Like most YouTubers (or at least the best) I'm looking to provide something worthwhile to viewers and subscribers so that  there will always be a reason to return to the channel to see whats up. Being a game company, everything is of course game centered. It is a genre I am very familiar and comfortable in and I wish to bring on board not just hardcore gamers but also those who are so casual that they had never before considered picking up a console.

Gameplay videos, short films, walk-throughs, vlogs, interviews, reviews, and of course tutorials. You could argue that I may be too ambitious and such an early stage, or that I already have enough on my plate. Its risky, yes, but I believe it is that exact ambition that will drive me forward to where I want to be.  YouTube, more than anything else, is a game of patience. Unless you're lucky and in the right place at the right time, you don't become a hit over night (although I have seen it happen more than once).

A lot of times I wonder who I'm really typing this for. But at the end of the day it really doesn't matter. I'll keep writing and posting and I won't stop. Perseverance has taught me a thing or to in the past and I figure it'll be worth it in the end.
